
I love this gadget.
After years of listening to coworkers talk about their recipes..I finally pulled this out 8 months ago and never put it up. It has a permanent home on the counter.
Saturday:
The pork shoulder with garlic powder, wichershire's sauce, liquid smoke, pepper, a splash of BBQ sauce and an onion ~ slow cooked for 14 hours....it fell off the bone as I transfered it.
Saturday night:
left in the broth and tossed in 8 onions cut in quarters for a 6 hour cookdown...carmaliezed onions ( to garnish my pork and yellow rice)
Sunday am: tossed most of the liquid and added in whole potatoes with salt and pepper. ..don't know how it will taste but I set it for 6 hours and the butter is ready...lol

I love the crock pot, too. So much, in fact, that I have two of them! (Yes, really, I have had several occasions where I was using it for two things at once.)
